Octave

Octave is located in Junction Village in Melbourne’s south-east, and is Jinding’s first completed project. The community is a premium address in the area and a stellar demonstration of the quality Jinding delivers for purchasers and communities.
 
Featuring 321 homes, positioned alongside the award-winning and conservation-focused Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne (RBGC), Octave provided a unique opportunity to create a range of stunning green spaces for residents and the community.
 
The Jinding Development team navigated unique constraints in delivering the project, including the consideration of safe crossings for endangered animals, to the required provision of prescribed parks and open space, with connectivity to an abutting established suburb. The team embraced these constraints and opportunities to deliver the most worthwhile and vibrant community possible.
 
Central to the innovative design were four key factors: design, sustainability, engineering solutions and unique features. These involved the delivery of a masterplan centred around 5.7 hectares (21 per cent) of open space and using indigenous flora to steer both landscaping and built form elements, not only to contribute to conservation efforts, but also to heighten aesthetic appeal.
